REVIEW: Color Me Rad Vancouver 5k

Date Of Event: August 18, 2012

Price: $45.00 Proceeds going to Keep-A-Breast Canada, and 15% of my registration was donated to Going Coastal.

I was super excited for this race for 3 reasons: 1) I’ve NEVER done a 5k, I guess I felt it was appropriate to just jump straight into half marathons, typical thought process for me, 2) the race just looked so fun and dirty, how could I resist, and 3) Continue reading

Here’s my 2nd installment in my “I’ll Show You Mine” series.  People often ask me what I wear during races and why, so I thought this was a great way of listing what I wear, why I love it, and what keeps me fueled during specific races.

REVIEW: 2012 San Francisco 2nd Half Marathon

Date Of Event:  July 29, 2012

Price: $85.00 (discounted early registration price)

Since running last year’s 1st Half Marathon and having had the opportunity to run in the streets of  San Francisco for the Newton Running campaign in December, I’ve been dying to get back to the SF area to pound the pavement.  After suffering through sickness and injury during last year’s race I’ve felt the need to redeem myself in one of my favorite cities as well as collect my “Half It All” spinner medal. ;) Continue reading

The Girl With The Pink Bicycle Tattoo

PUNK’d Up Kicks

As the year begins to wind down I’ve been taking a little time to reflect back on this past year.  I’ve ran some really fun and challenging races, traveled to some cool places and met some incredible people along the way.  Ron from Punk Rock Racing is a great example of one of those people that I’ve been lucky enough to cross paths with this year. Not only does he write one of my favorite running blogs, he’s also a HUGE inspiration to me (he finished an Ironman with a destroyed knee!!!). On top of all that he’s also been incredibly generous to me and I wanted to share with you guys some of the awesome goodies I’ve received from Punk Rock Racing! Continue reading

Seattle is one of my favorite cities, not only is it incredibly beautiful but it’s also where some of my very best friends live; so how could I pass up an opportunity to run a half marathon in said city, with said friends?!

I registered for the Amica Seattle Half Marathon shortly after finishing the Vancouver BMO half in May.  At that time, I was feeling great, in the best shape I’ve been in in a long time and ready to conquer the world. But as you all know, Continue reading
