PUNK’d Up Kicks

As the year begins to wind down I’ve been taking a little time to reflect back on this past year.  I’ve ran some really fun and challenging races, traveled to some cool places and met some incredible people along the way.  Ron from Punk Rock Racing is a great example of one of those people that I’ve been lucky enough to cross paths with this year. Not only does he write one of my favorite running blogs, he’s also a HUGE inspiration to me (he finished an Ironman with a destroyed knee!!!). On top of all that he’s also been incredibly generous to me and I wanted to share with you guys some of the awesome goodies I’ve received from Punk Rock Racing! Continue reading

I’ll Show You Mine: BMO Vancouver Marathon Edition

head to toe

One of the most common questions I get asked is what do I wear when I run. So I’m going to give you the run down on what I wore head to toe for the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon this past Sunday. REVIEW: 2011 BMO Vancouver Half Marathon

Date of Event: May 1, 2011

Price: $72.80

After agonizing over my poor performance during the Malibu half in November I eagerly looked for a race to sign up for to turn my running frown upside down.  I’ve yet to do a local race, so signing up for the Vancouver BMO half Marathon was a logical choice for me, it was on my home turf, not only would I have the support of family and friends, I’d also get to run with some of them and it allowed me to have 5+ months of training/prep time to get my booty back in gear. So sign up I did!

lucky number 6406

A few days prior to the race I had 3 of my best friends in the world come stay with me, 2 of which were also running the half marathon (their first ever) and the other running the full marathon (show off ;) ).  In an attempt to beat the crowds, the Friday prior to the race we went down to the running Expo to pick up our racing packets/bibs and to meander around the booths.  I don’t know if it’s just me Continue reading

hi!

Here’s my review on my recently purchased Luluemon Run:Swiftly Tech LS shirt, to be more precise, the exact one on my “Lusting After” list.
